BASF | Nunhems Announces Partnership Expansion with TS&L Seed Company

  • Parternship expansion includes the distribution of Spinach, Lettuce, Watermelon, and Melon seed varieties in California, Arizona, and Nevada
  • Holaday Seed Company will continue to be a distributor of Nunhems® lettuce and spinach seeds.

 

PARMA, IDAHO, June 7, 2024 – BASF’s vegetable seed business, operating in the market under the Nunhems® brand, has anounced the expansion of its distribution partnership with TS&L Seed Company to reach more growers. Effective June 10, 2024, TS&L will distribute Nunhems® spinach, lettuce, watermelon, and melon seeds in California, Arizona, and Nevada. This expansion further strengthens the long-standing collaboration between the two companies, ensuring that BASF | Nunhems genetics are available to growers who can benefit from them.

In addition to the expanded distribution, TS&L's product development team will play a crucial role in collecting valuable grower feedback This feedback will be instrumental in further guiding BASF | Nunhems' innovation pipeline, ensuring that their products meet the needs of growers.

The partnership between BASF | Nunhems and TS&L dates back over 20 years when it initially began with the distribution of processing tomatoes. Since then, the collaboration has flourished and expanded to include onions in Texas and New Mexico, as well as sweet and hot peppers in California. The addition of spinach, lettuce, and melon to this distribution agreement marks another milestone in their successful history of working together.

With over 40 years of experience, TS&L Seed Company has established itself as a trusted player in the agricultural industry. The company began its journey by focusing on processing tomatoes in the Central Valley and Sacramento. Today, their portfolio includes a wide range of major crops, such as processing tomatoes, melon, spinach, onions, and brassicas. TS&L is a distibutor for many of the world’s suppliers of vegetable and field seeds throughout the Western United States.

Holaday Seed Company will continue to be a distributor of Nunhems® lettuce and spinach seeds.
